Abstrak

As time goes by, science and technology continue to advance. This technological development has a significant impact on the education sector in Indonesia. Therefore, to maximize technological developments, the learning media needed in this era is digital-based learning media. Currently, the learning media used at SMP PGRI 6 Bogor is still conventional, namely methods that tend to be passive and one-way, so interactive and interesting learning media is needed. This research aims to develop a learning medium for writing persuasive texts using the CapCut application in grade VIII students of SMP PGRI 6 Bogor. The method used in this study is the research and development method, which adapts the ADDIE development model. This model consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used in this study include validation questionnaires from media experts, material expert linguists, response questionnaires from students and teachers, and N-gain tests. The results of this study showed: Validation of media experts reached 90%, with the category of "very feasible", validation of linguists reached 94%, with the category of "very feasible", Validation of material experts reached 98%, with the category of "very feasible". The student response questionnaire showed a score of 80.46%, with the category "effective". The teacher's response questionnaire showed a score of 97%, with the category "very effective". The results of the N-gain test on student learning outcomes, which were measured by pre-test and post-test, showed a score of 0.77 with high criteria, indicating a significant improvement in learning outcomes. The increase in the average score of students after the use of CapCut application-based learning media showed an effectiveness rate of 77%, with the category of "effective". Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the development of learning media for writing persuasive texts using the CapCut application is feasible to be used as one of the learning media in teaching and learning activities in grade VIII SMP PGRI 6 Bogor
